PERMISSION TO PLAY OUT OF ZONE

Youth Soccer (U11-U19) in Saskatoon is divided into five zones, each with geographic boundaries. Players are bound to register with a zone based on their primary residence. Click on the Zone Map PDF to see which zone you should register with.

To facilitate players who may not wish to play with their home zone, Saskatoon Youth Soccer has a Permission to Play Out of Zone (or PTPOZ) process that must be followed.

Process

Players must request a transfer for each season they wish to play out of zone. Having a transfer in one season does not guarantee you a transfer for the next season.

PTPOZ requests are dealt with between the player's home zone and desired zone, once they have been received by the SYSI office. Players will be notified within six days after the submission deadline (noted at the top of the form each season) by their home zone whether their transfer was approved.

Below are some common scenarios to assist you with understanding the steps you'll need to follow.

I reside in another zone but want to play with Hollandia

  1. Register with your home zone.
  2. Register with Hollandia.
  3. Complete the Permission to Play Out of Zone form HERE
  4. Inquire with your home zone as to whether you need to attend evaluations. Hollandia strongly recommends that you attend evaluations for your home zone as it will help ensure proper placement in your home zone should your request be denied.
  5. Attend Hollandia's evaluations.

Once you are informed of the committee's decision by your home zone, the zone in which you will not be playing will reimburse you any fees paid and transfer your registration in RAMP to Hollandia for the season.

I reside in Valley United's zone and want to play in Saskatoon

Valley United is a separate member organization to Saskatoon Youth Soccer and players who have played for Valley United need to apply for a release to play in Saskatoon. Please follow the process defined above. Players do not require a release from Valley United in subsequent seasons at this time.

I reside in Hollandia's zone but want to play with another zone

  1. Register with Hollandia.
  2. Register with the zone you wish to transfer to.
  3. Complete the Permission to Play Out of Zone form HERE
  4. Attend Hollandia's evaluations.
  5. Attend evaluations for the zone you wish to transfer to.

Once you are informed of the committee's decision by Hollandia, the zone in which you will not be playing will reimburse you any fees paid and will transfer your registration in RAMP to the zone you are playing with for the season.
