Welcome Roberto

 

Hi everyone, 

 

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Roberto Morales, and I’m excited to be joining Hollandia Soccer Club as the new Programs Coordinator.

 

I was born and raised in Mexico City, and soccer has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, literally since I was learning how to walk. Growing up, I played goalkeeper at a competitive level, representing clubs including Club América and Pumas UNAM, progressing from U9 through to the Second Division.

 

I moved to Canada in 2008 and have continued to stay closely connected to the game. I still enjoy playing both indoor and outdoor soccer, participating in the Saskatoon World Cup, and sharing my experience through coaching.

 

Beyond the field, I really enjoy helping people and organizations grow and succeed. I’m excited to bring that passion, along with my lifelong love of soccer, to Hollandia.

 

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working closely alongside Alison as I settle into my new role and before she begins her leave. While Alison is away, I’ll be taking the lead on the day-to-day operations of the club and helping keep things running smoothly throughout the upcoming tournaments and seasons.

 

Most of all, I’m looking forward to getting to know our players, families, coaches, volunteers, and the wider Saskatoon soccer community.
